ACTOR TRAINING
Meisner training is suitable for all actors and/or drama students who wish to learn new acting techniques to further their skills.
In 1934, Sanford Meisner, founder of the Group Theater and The Neighbourhood Playhouse asked “What is it that makes actors bad?” The answer came back: “They don’t listen and they’re self-conscious.” Based on the incredibly simple, supple tool of the Repetition exercise, the training initially teaches the actor to really listen, really respond. As the work progresses, it becomes more and more apparent that the very fact of really listening to your fellow actor actually eradicates any self-consciousness in your own work....
The Meisner classes are suitable for persons over 15.
